Yup, another ukulele cover, with the usual apologies. My mangled version of Birds and ships. Originally it’s a Woody Guthrie song I believe, but I’ve only heard have the Billy Bragg and Wilco version, which is sung by Natalie Merchant. A hauntingly beautiful song.
How long has it been since the last cover? Who cares, here’s a ukulele version of Galway Girl. Originally by Steve Earle, but I prefer the Stewart Lee version. It’s almost 3 a.m., I’m tired and I have to pee. Usual apologies apply.
A ukulele cover of Oregon Trail, by Bad Banana
I’ve taken to listening to the Razorcake podcast while inking & coloring comics. A great introduction to punk rock and the place where I heard Bad Banana for the first time. So sorry for butchering the song.
Guess what I found? Yup, another ukulele cover. I don’t think I posted this one before. So here’s my version of ‘9 Crimes’ (by Damien Rice). The usual apologies and reservations apply.
No editing on this cover (“If I can’t change your mind”, by Sugar) I’m afraid. The uke is too loud and I’d like to add more voice tracks at some point but it’s late, I’m tired and the software is being a pain in the ass. Oh yeah, and I still have to get a new microphone. Working with a phone’s mic is frustrating as hell.
Rains on me - cover of the Tom Waits song. Because it’s been raining and I’ve been listening to Tom Waits a lot. That’s it really.
Who needs love - Razorlight. I’ve had a productive weekend so I thought I’d top it off with a ukuele cover.
Vacation time means more time for music! What is this? Third song this week already? This one’s from Razorlight. Brought to you with the usual apologies.
Oh yes, another cover. Pokerface by Lady Gaga. I got the chords and stuff from this guy.
Another ukulele cover. ‘Betrayed by bones’ by HelloGoodbye. The microphone worked for a moment but crapped out on my again during the first take. Again, bad quality but okay for a first try I think.
